Barrie Rody

Mr. Rody’s practice is focused primarily on preparing and prosecuting patent applications. His technical expertise includes software, including software development; LAN, WAN and wireless networking; and computer systems, including client-server computing, e-mail systems, database systems, virtual computing environments, and computer security.   

Mr. Rody has experience managing intellectual property aspects of Government contracts.  This includes auditing contracts to determine intellectual property based responsibilities of the inventing entity, as well as establishing procedures to ensure ongoing compliance.  Mr. Rody’s experience includes contracts under SBIR, DOE and DOD, including multiple branches of the military. 

Mr. Rody’s education includes a Bachelor of Computer Science Degree from Acadia University in Canada as well as a Law Degree from Santa Clara University School of Law. 

Prior to joining Beyer Law Group Mr. Rody had a career as a Systems Administrator, including most recently at a Silicon Valley bioinformatics startup.
