Ms. Ando’s intellectual property practice mainly focuses on patent preparation and prosecution. She also handles patent non-infringement and invalidity opinions, and due diligence analysis. Ms. Ando’s technical expertise includes a range of technical fields including computer technologies, electronics, semiconductor device fabrication, telecommunications and network technologies, digital and analog signal processing, integrated circuit design and verification, and optical storage devices.

Ms. Ando’s education includes an Undergraduate Degree (B.S. in Physics) from the University of Tsukuba, Japan; a Graduate Degree (M.S. in Nuclear Physics) from the University of Tsukuba, Japan; and a Law Degree from Franklin Pierce Law Center.

Prior to joining Beyer Law Group, Ms. Ando was an associate with Thelen Reid Brown Raysman & Steiner LLP. She is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is a member of the State Bar of California.

Ms. Ando also assists Japanese companies and start-ups to obtain intellectual property rights in the United States and worldwide.

In her free time, Masako is an amateur photographer taking mainly B/W pictures of landscapes. She enjoys annual photo field trips to the Eastern Sierra and White Mountains as well as optional off-road driving.

Ms. Ando is fluent in Japanese (native) and Korean (conversational).
